<–  Wax Positive  –>

Hot wax is applied with a brush to the negative molds of silicon and plaster. The molds are fixed together and washed out with wax as often as necessary until the desired thickness and wall strength is achieved. This corresponds to the thickness of the future casting.

In the case of larger segments, the core is filled first, prior to removing the wax positive from the mold. In this case, the hollow cavity in the wax model, which is still in the negative, is filled with chamotte, and thus forms the core.

The wax model is released from the negative form and retouched.
