Peter Fischli, born 1952 in Zurich, and
David Weiss, born 1946 in Zurich, live in Zurich
The artists have been working together since 1979. For their works, they draw on a broad spectrum of artistic forms of expression from film to photography and artists’ books, to sculptures made of the most varied of materials and multimedia installations. They adapt objects and situations from everyday life – not without humor and irony – and place them in an artistic context, and thus pose philosophical and theoretical questions on explaining the world.
