Wälzkörper, 2000, bronze, ca. 22 x 22 x 49 cm

In her work, Barbara Heé perceives the body as a collector of energy and the space between bodies as an electrically charged field. The cylindrical bodies (Wälzkörper) she forms are agglomerations made from pieces of thrown and rolled clay, of which she usually assembles a large number and distributes them in the space. The Kunstgiesserei has cast many such constellations of cylindrical bodies in bronze.
